Do we accept everyone who applies?
No! Our agents work through every single artist application, which goes through a rigorous process, before offering any contracts. We accept a low percentage of applications due to keeping our books small, so if you are offered a contract CONGRATULATIONS on making it through the first difficult stage.
Can I be registered with another agency?
Yes! We are a non-sole agency, however we do not recommend being with more than three agencies at one time and we ask that we are listed as your first agency on Spotlight.
If I am offered Personal Management can I be signed with another agent?
Those who are represented by our Personal Management Division are contracted on a Sole basis only.
Does Paris Talent Agency charge Fees?
We charge a one off registration fee of £35.00, this covers your set-up costs with us, a Model/Actor Card and access to your personalised online talent page, where you can view all jobs/castings you have been submitted for and add/amend details as things change throughout the year.
If the artists is aged 4+, you will be required to become a member of ‘Spotlight' which is currently £103 for Young Performers and from £172.50 for Adults. Artists must have professional head shots taken at least once a year or supply us with at least two professional photographs which meet our standard. Artists are welcome to send in their own additional shots throughout the year, which are held on file for clients to view upon request. You are also asked to keep us up to date with any changes in appearance or any new skills or jobs you may have attained via our admin account (Tagmin).
Do you take commission?
The agency earns commission from paid work. We take the standard 25% (child) and 15-20% (Adult) commission on all fees - excluding travel expenses and chaperone fees. It is therefore in the agency's best interest to secure you work where possible.
Once I am registered, am I guaranteed paid work?
Unfortunately not! No agency can possibly guarantee work, as they have no idea what castings will come into their offices, so will never know in advance who a client may be looking for. It is also out of the agencies hands who the casting teams choose to see, however, we as an agency will do our best to submit you for all castings you fit the brief for and work hard on your behalf to secure work. If an agency tells you they can guarantee you work, then avoid them at all costs!
Some artists sadly never get jobs and others book many, but you have to be in it to win it!
Do I have to travel to London?
We are a South Agency, therefore most of our work is based in and around London. You must be prepared to travel to castings at short notice and cover your own travel expenses. Quite often castings are arranged with just 24 hours notice, so please consider if you can be available at short notice.
What if I am unavailable?
We will not ask for your availability for every casting we submit you for, otherwise we would spend our days trying to get hold of artists. Instead, if you are going to be unavailable for a holiday/day out/event, please add these dates to your Tagmin account which will ‘book them out’. We know then not to submit for anything during this time. If we have an audition or casting and you have not booked out, then we do expect you to attend.
What type of work am I likely to get?
We specialise in TV, Film, Commercial & Stage, we are not a Modelling Agency. A selection of our work can be viewed here.
What happens once I am registered with the agency?
After you have signed your contract, made your initial set-up fee and set up your Spotlight page, Paris Talent Agency will put you forward for all castings, auditions and events you meet the criteria for. You will also be invited to join a private Facebook Group (young performers only) where you will have access to regular updates. If the artist is under 4 years old, we will create their own model card to use for promotion instead of Spotlight.
